This role also encompasses receiving and organizing incoming materials, performing routine equipment maintenance, and ensuring cut stock is accurately accounted for in the ERP system. By maintaining strong attention to detail and safe work practices, the Saw Operator ensures the shop floor has the right material, in the right quantities, ready for machining.\nThis position is well-suited for a detail-oriented individual with a basic knowledge of metals and plastics who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and keeping production moving. The Saw Operator works closely with the Warehouse, Production, and Quality teams and reports to the Shop Supervisor.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSaw Setup & Operation\nSet up and operate Amada saws, cold saws, bandsaws, and hot saws to cut raw materials per job requirements\nMonitor and inspect parts throughout the sawing process to ensure dimensional accuracy and cut quality\nPerform inspections using manual gauges and instruments to verify material dimensions\nSelect appropriate blades, feeds, and speeds based on material type (aluminum, stainless steel, plastics)\nMaterial Receiving & Organization\nReceive incoming raw materials, verify quantities and descriptions against purchase orders, and account for material in the ERP system\nOrganize and store received materials in designated locations, maintaining a clean and orderly material staging area\nOperate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stage, and store raw stock safely\nEquipment Maintenance\nPerform routine maintenance on sawing equipment, including blade changes, lubrication, and cleaning\nMonitor equipment condition and report issues requiring repair to the Shop Supervisor\nQuality, Safety & Communication\nObserve all company quality and safety procedures\nCommunicate and collaborate with team members in the sharing of information and solving technical issues\nMaintain accurate records in the ERP system for material receipts, cut quantities, and job transactions\nFollow all EH&S policies and maintain a safe, organized work environment\nQualifications/Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nBasic knowledge of materials including aluminum, stainless steels, and plastics\nExperience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment\nBasic understanding of computers and ERP systems\nStrong work ethic and high attention to detail\nFlexible, with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment\nCapable of handling sensitive and sometimes confidential information\nGood communication skills for effective teamwork\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods\nHours: 5:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Monday - Thursday\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled\nThis employer participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S. If E-Verify cannot confirm that you are authorized to work, this employer is required to give you written instructions and an opportunity to contact Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or Social Security Administration (SSA) so you can begin to resolve the issue before the employer can take any action against you, including terminating your employment.
