This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality production while driving continuous improvement, meeting customer specifications, and supporting on-time delivery goals.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduction Leadership\nSupervise daily operations of press brake and forming departments across assigned shift(s)\nAssign work, monitor workflow, and adjust priorities to meet production schedules\nEnsure adherence to production targets, throughput goals, and on-time delivery requirements\nCoordinate with production planning, engineering, and other departments to resolve scheduling or capacity issues\nTeam Management\nLead, coach, and develop press brake operators and forming personnel\nConduct training on equipment, processes, safety, and quality standards\nPerform performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and attendance management as needed\nFoster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement\nTechnical Oversight\nOversee setup and operation of CNC press brakes (e.g., Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic, etc.)\nEnsure correct tooling selection, setup, and programming for optimal performance\nReview and interpret blueprints, work orders, and geometric tolerances\nTroubleshoot forming issues and support operators with technical challenges\nQuality Assurance\nEnsure parts meet customer specifications, tolerances, and quality standards\nPartner with Quality to resolve nonconformances and implement corrective actions\nPromote first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks\nDrive reduction in scrap and rework\nSafety & Compliance\nEnforce all safety policies, including proper machine guarding and PPE usage\nConduct regular safety audits and address hazards immediately\nMaintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify and implement productivity, efficiency, and cost-reduction initiatives\nSupport lean manufacturing practices (5S, Kaizen, standard work)\nOptimize machine utilization, setup times, and workflow layout\nTrack and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)\n5+ years of experience in precision sheet metal forming/press brake operations\n2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment\nStrong knowledge of press brake setup, tooling, and forming techniques\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T\nExperience with CNC programming and machine controls\nPreferred\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems\nLean manufacturing or Six Sigma training\nFamiliarity with automation, robotics, or advanced forming technologies\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong leadership and team-building skills\nProblem-solving and decision-making ability\nExcellent communication and organizational skills\nDetail-oriented with strong quality focus\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\nMechanical aptitude and technical expertise\nWorking Conditions\nManufacturing shop environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and metal materials\nStanding, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required\nMay require overtime or flexible scheduling to meet production demands\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nOn-time delivery performance\nProductivity and throughput rates\nScrap and rework reduction\nSetup time improvement\nSafety incident rate\nEmployee retention and engagement\nWhat we offer:\nHealth Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
