The successful candidate will support the daily operations of the department through effective coordination, communication, record management, and student support services. This position plays an important role in enhancing the student experience by assisting with departmental initiatives, facilitating processes, and providing administrative support. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.\nThis is a full-time (40 hours per week) position.\nSummary of Duties:\nDepartment liaison for academic support needs and various student affairs areas throughout the university\nAssist with students identified as needing additional resources for success; routing them to the appropriate resource and providing follow-up as directed\nSupervise and coordinate student workers for the department\nMaintain retention data and prepare reports from ongoing updates\nMaintain electronic student records; enter and update student information\nCollaborate on special projects; coordinate efforts to achieve deadlines and overall success\nAssist students with completing housing registration\nUpdate and create weekly E-News announcements; maintain other electronic message boards\nCoordinate student events provided by the department\nAssist with coordination of the daily chapel program and attendance tracking\nMaintain documentation of students needing guidance from the Dean of Students\nCoordinate with Chief of Police and Dean of Students for ID security access for students and employees\nManage daily office responsibilities including reception, answering telephone, and welcoming visitors\nQualifications:\nHigh School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred\nMinimum of two years administrative support experience required\nActive member of the church of Christ\nFor initial application submit:\nResume\nCover letter\nEmployment is dependent upon a successful background check and verification of work authorization through E-Verify.\nNon-discrimination statement: Faulkner University is a church-affiliated liberal arts institution committed to employing a highly qualified and diverse administration, faculty and staff, which reflects the University's religious traditions, values and affiliation, and purpose.
