We’re looking for people who are curious, driven, and eager to take ownership in solving complex, high-impact problems.\nRole Overview: \n The Payments Onboarding Specialist will support Fayara Group’s growth by managing merchant and entity onboarding with payment service providers, acquirers, banks, gateways, and alternative payment providers.\nResponsibilities include coordinating applications from preparation to approval and go-live, managing provider communications, ensuring accurate documentation, and proactively tracking outstanding requirements.\nThe role also supports corporate and KYC documentation maintenance, periodic compliance reviews, and the ongoing good standing of payment accounts.\nThe ideal candidate is organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple processes in a fast-paced, growing environment. This is a full time employment role, with 5 days from the office the first 6 months and Hybrid - 4 days from the office after probation.\nKey Responsilbities:\nManage merchant onboarding with acquirers, banks, gateways and alternative payment providers: prepare and submit applications and handle follow-up through to approval and go-live\n\nDay-to-day contact for payment providers on onboarding, compliance reviews and account status\n\nMaintain KYC and corporate documentation for each group entity with the corporate service providers, and answer periodic compliance reviews from existing providers\n\nKeep a tracker of every application and compliance review: owner, status, next action and outstanding documents\n\nGather what providers ask for from internal teams, such as website, technical and financial information, and check it before submission\n\nReport onboarding and compliance review status to management\n\nSupport the payments function with ad hoc projects such as new payment method set-up\n\nAny other duties relevant to the role.\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n1-3 years of experience in payments, acquiring, PSPs, merchant operations, onboarding, or KYC\n\nFamiliarity with acquirers, banks, payment gateways, and alternative payment providers\n\nWorking knowledge of merchant onboarding requirements and corporate documentation.\n\nAbility to prepare, review, and track accurate, complete application packages\n\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and OneDrive\n\nExperience with payment provider onboarding portals is an advantage\n\nStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines\n\nFluent written and spoken English is essential, any other languages are advantageous\n\nFollows up on outstanding items independently and escalates issues early\n\nTakes responsibility for tasks and drives processes through to completion with minimal supervision\n\nHands-on, adaptable, eager to grow with Fayara Group, and authorised to work in the Spain.\n\nThe Perks & Practicalities:\nWorking Hours: Monday - Friday 09:00-18:00\n\nLocation: Madrid, Spain\n\nSalary: €35,000 - €40,000 Gross Annually\n\n22+ Annual Leave Days\n\nFlexitime and Hybrid working available\n\nJob Category: Finance\n\nA collaborative, relaxed, and professional work environment where people enjoy what they do!\n\nAn attractive employee benefits package with a workplace perks you’ll want to discover\n\nInterview Process:\nStage 1: Video Call with Talent Acquisition\nStage 2: Video Call with Head of Payments\nStage 3: Face-to-Face meeting with the relevant C-Level\nThree straightforward steps, meaningful conversations, and the opportunity to discover if we’re the right fit for each other.\nAt Fayara Group, you’ll take ownership of bringing new payment partners on board, keeping applications moving, and turning complex requirements into smooth, successful launches.
