Reporting to the Assistant Food Store Manager.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEngage with member-owners and customers to provide exceptional service and create positive Co-op experiences.\n\nSupport the Assistant Food Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Grocery Department; including ordering, receiving, inventory management, merchandising, shrink control, and maintaining department standards.\n\nProvide hands-on leadership to the Grocery team by working alongside team members on the sales floor, setting clear expectations, and ensuring daily priorities and deadlines are met.\n\nSupport team scheduling, training, coaching, performance management, and engagement to foster a positive and productive work environment.\n\nEnsure cleanliness, maintenance, food safety, and health and safety standards are consistently maintained throughout the department.\n\nProvide feedback on operational processes and support the implementation of improvements that enhance efficiency, service, and the customer experience.\n\nHelp maintain strong merchandising and store presentation standards while supporting promotions and other departmental initiatives.\n\nDemonstrate behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen Cornerstone Co-op’s vision, mission, values, brand, and commitment to safety.\n\nBe available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and opening and closing shifts on a rotational basis.\n\nPerform additional duties as required.\n\nWhy it matters: We need you to lead outstanding Co-op experiences.\nWho you are:\nYou must be at least 18 years of age.\n\nYou have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and can provide a satisfactory 5-year standard driver’s abstract.\n\nYou can successfully complete a required pre-employment substance test.\n\nYou are able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
