We offer competitive wages, full health care benefits and a continuous learning culture for those who want to grow with the company.\nJob Summary:\nThe Seasonal Equipment Operator supports Research & Development by operating forestry, construction, and land management equipment to execute product testing and validation activities. This role assists in the setup, execution, and documentation of field and controlled tests to ensure product performance, reliability, and quality. The operator works closely with Engineering, Product Management, and R&D teams to support test plans, collect data, and contribute to continuous product improvement.\nJob Duties/Responsibilities:\nOperates forestry mulchers, skid steers, excavators, and related equipment to execute product test plans and validation activities.\nSupports the setup, execution, and teardown of field and controlled testing environments.\nAssists Engineering and R&D in conducting performance, durability, and usability testing of products and components.\nCollects and records test data, observations, and operator feedback during testing activities.\nIdentifies and communicates equipment performance issues, anomalies, or failures observed during testing.\nPerforms routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure test readiness and reliability.\nPrepares equipment, attachments, and test sites to meet defined validation requirements.\nMaintains accurate documentation of test activities, including logs, photos, and supporting materials.\nCollaborates with Engineering and Product Development teams to support test objectives, timelines, and continuous improvement efforts.\nEnsures compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and test protocols.\nSupports field demonstrations, customer evaluations, and site visits as required.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nAbility to safely and effectively operate heavy equipment in testing and field environments.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to observe and report performance characteristics.\nAbility to follow structured test procedures and work instructions.\nStrong communication skills to relay test observations and feedback.\nFlexibility to adapt to changing test conditions and priorities.\nBasic mechanical aptitude with an understanding of equipment operation and functionality.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.\nPrior experience operating forestry, construction, agricultural, or similar equipment preferred.\nExperience supporting product testing, field validation, or equipment demonstrations is a plus.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit, stand, and operate equipment for extended periods.\nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.\nAbility to work outdoors in varying weather, terrain, and test conditions.\nMust be able to traverse test sites, production areas, and outdoor environments.\nThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
