We offer competitive wages, full health care benefits and a continuous learning culture for those who want to grow with the company.\nJob Summary:\nThe Product Development Engineering Co-op will support other members of the engineering department and product management group on new product development, existing product revisions, and equipment testing. This person will interact with production personnel on the manufacturing floor to discuss project specifications and product adjustments. The individual will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and how they interact on the overall equipment design. They will also be exposed to various stages of product development from product specification origination through production launch. The position is intended to be a co-operative learning experience, alternating semesters of work with school.\nJob Duties/Responsibilities:\nDesigns components and assemblies.\nCreates detailed drawings.\nOrganizes bills of materials (BOMs) in the MRP system and completes engineering change notices.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nActively pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or other related program\nStrong ability to multi-task with assignments from engineers and a desire for a hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.\nBasic competency with 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Creo, NX) and the MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel)\nPreferred experience with SolidWorks and SyteLine.\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nMust be pursuing a degree in Engineering.\nPhysical Requirements:\nCommunicates orally and in writing; and hears at a conversational level.\nRequired to sit, use fingers to grip with pressure, twist or bend the wrists, and keep wrists in prolonged positions of flexion or extension.\nFrequently works around moving vehicles and wears safety glasses.\nOccasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, climb ladders of up to 3 ft. in height, reach, twist while rotating the torso, lift up to 35lbs., use hands to grip with pressure, keep feet in prolonged positions of flexion or extension.
