In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and drive the successful delivery of payroll solutions. Success in this position requires a strong understanding of Workday Payroll, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure solutions align with organizational needs.\nWhat You Will Do:\nBusiness & Technology Partnership\nCollaborate cross-functionally to develop and deliver effective payroll solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and strategic priorities.\nDefine business problems, document clear requirements, and ensure alignment with technology teams on expected outcomes.\nServe as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, maintaining a deep understanding of business objectives and ensuring that solutions meet their needs.\nTesting & Quality Assurance\nLead the user acceptance testing (UAT) process, including developing test scenarios, documenting results, and communicating outcomes to ensure changes meet business requirements before deployment.\nProcess Improvement & Optimization\nRegularly review payroll business processes and procedures, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.\nStay current on system functionality and new feature releases, proactively applying relevant capabilities to optimize payroll processes.\nReview and evaluate Workday release features related to payroll, including weekly service releases and semi-annual feature releases, assessing potential impacts and opportunities.\nAnalysis & Problem Resolution\nAnalyze incident data to identify trends and impacts, providing recommendations for resolution and conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.\nMonitor system performance and payroll outcomes to proactively identify risks or areas for improvement.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required\n4+ years of experience in payroll technology\nStrong working knowledge of Workday payroll required\nStrong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills required\nProven experience documenting business requirements\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise between technical and non-technical stakeholders, build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels\nExperience leading UAT processes, including test planning and execution\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment\nA proactive, continuous-improvement mindset with a passion for optimizing processes\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)\nFamiliarity with internal control standards (SOX)\nDiscover the Reason Why So Many People Love It Here!\nWhen you join the Richmond Fed, not only will you find a challenging and purposeful career, you’ll also have access to a wide range of benefits and perks that support your health and wealth, including:\nGreat medical benefits\nPension and 401(k) with employer match\nPaid time off\nTuition reimbursement\nPaid volunteer leave\nOnsite amenities that make working here fun!\nOther Requirements and Considerations:\nCandidates should review the Bank’s Employee Code of Conduct to ensure compliance with conflict-of-interest rules and personal investment restrictions.\nIf you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, please notify .\nSponsorship is not available for this role.
