What You Will Be Doing
As the Gas Bar Supervisor, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of the gas bar, ensuring efficient service, customer satisfaction, and compliance with safety standards. You will also:
- Lead by example, supporting staff in delivering friendly, helpful service and keeping the site running safely and effectively.
- Supervise and schedule gas bar staff, ensuring they are properly trained and consistently meeting customer service expectations.
- Support customers directly by providing assistance with fueling, propane, windshield services, and monitoring fluid levels as needed.
- Ensure the gas bar is ready for business at opening and secured at closing, including managing merchandise displays, propane dispensing, and safety checks.
- Oversee inventory by ordering, receiving, and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Work collaboratively with the Co-op management team to implement strategies that enhance service, efficiency, and profitability.
- Take responsibility for housekeeping duties to keep the site clean, safe, and welcoming. This includes maintaining restrooms, removing garbage, cleaning spills, sweeping, and shoveling when required.
What You Will Need
- Proven experience in retail or gas bar supervision.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Basic understanding of sales and inventory management.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays
