Ensures that all product leaving the warehouse has been paid for prior to loading.\n\nBe familiar with different the different product lines of merchandise carried in the Agro Centre.\n\nResponsible for the security of the warehouse area - receiving doors locked at all times except receiving or shipping merchandise, in and out shipments properly accounted for, etc.\n\nPerforms the responsibilities of other Agro Centre team member positions during staff absences in order to optimize the efficiency of the Agro Centre. This may require cross training in various positions.\n\nOperates and services equipment used in the movement of farm supplies. Operates by industry regulations in the handling and storage of grain and farm supplies. Completes related documentation.\n\nCoordinates warehouse space with shipping and receiving. Maintains farm supply product condition by turning and monitoring. Conducts regular inventory checks.\n\nOperates by health, safety and fire prevention procedures and regulations.\n\nKeeps facilities and grounds clean and tidy, well maintained, and free from fire hazards. Carries out a regular preventative maintenance program and conducts minor repairs.\n\nPerforms other related duties as required.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):\nDemonstrated customer service orientation.\n\nDemonstrated knowledge of modern farm practices and industry regulations.\n\nDemonstrated ability to develop good working relationships.\n\nDemonstrated ability to meet and deal with the public effectively.\n\nDemonstrated oral and written communication skills as well as time management skills.\n\nProven ability to work independently.\n\nMechanical ability to operate and maintain grain processing and farm supply equipment.\n\nDemonstrated physical ability to perform the functions of the job.\n\nComputer competent.\n\nEducation and Experience:\nTwo (2) years of agri-products and inventory management experience would be considered an asset\n\nGrade 12 or recognized educational equivalent\n\nValid Class 3 license with air brake endorsement and a clean driver abstract\n\nForklift Operator Certification\n\nWorkplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)\n\nTransportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification\n\nOur employees receive competitive salaries, a profit-sharing program, EFAP program, employee discount program, a comprehensive benefits package, ongoing learning opportunities, and an employer-contributed pension plan.
