Maintain a complete inventory system for all vehicles, parts, equipment, and fuel. Negotiate for the purchase of all vehicles, parts, equipment, and fuel.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nImplements and monitors a preventative maintenance program to assure cost effective maintenance and a scheduled maintenance program by the manufacture’s specification.\n\nMaintain a complete inventory system through recording of all expenditures and income of each vehicle, maintenance equipment, fuel, repair parts, supplies etc.\n\nMonitors user departments by analysis of vehicle and equipment utilization and evaluation of equipment specifications.\n\nImplements and maintains a mechanic training and certification program to provide needed technical skills for mechanics in repair of automobiles and heavy equipment.\n\nEnforce safety practices and procedures and ensures employees receive appropriate safety training.\n\nTrains, evaluates, and disciplines employees.\n\nAssists in development of fleet services, budget to include a review of past years’ experience and income; adjusts and administers all fleet service purchases, including parts, tools, supplies.\n\nThe development of specifications for vehicles and equipment to be used in the fleet.\n\nKeeps maintenance and repair records, preforms preventive maintenance on all vehicles, orders repair parts.\n\nSKILLS REQUIRED:\nKnowledge of methods, techniques and procedures involved in maintenance, repairs, and part replacement.\n\nKnowledge of an automated Fleet Management Information System.\n\nAbility to function and preform effectively as a manager and a supervisor.\n\nAbility to plan, organize and direct the work of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers.\n\nAbility to coordinate, prepare reports and maintain accurate records.\n\nAbility to communicate both orally and in writing.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nCourse work in auto and equipment mechanics at a trade school\n\n6 years of experience as a mechanic\n\nMust possess a valid driver's license\n\nOr any equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.\n\nRemaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.\n\nMoving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.\n\nAbility to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 100 pounds.\n\nCommunicating with others to exchange information.\n\nOperating machinery and/or power tools / Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.\n\nRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.\n\nLow temperatures and High temperatures\n\nOutdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.\n\nNoisy environments, Hazardous conditions and Poor ventilation\n\nMust possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust.\n\nFeeser's, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.\nQualified women, minorities, and US military veterans are encouraged to apply.\nFeeser's Food Distributors is an equal opportunity employer.
