Work well with co-workers as part of a team. Read and understand Banquet Event Orders and carry out the instructions given on the Banquet Event Orders.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\n• Prepare and serve meal accompaniments to banquet attendees.\n• Perform side work.\n• Open & pour bottled wine for guests along with other table beverages.\n• Knowledge of current menu being served and ability to describe ingredients.\n• Take note of special guest requests and/or allergies and act accordingly.\n• Bus and set tables/stations, as needed.\n• Keep various stations replenished and clean (i.e., deli, dessert, coffee, espresso)\n• Help direct guests and answer questions about facility.\n• Perform other duties as assigned.\n• Must have food and wine knowledge for pairing suggestions.\n• Communicate with support crew and management.\nSKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required\n• One year minimum of customer service experience preferably within the Food & Beverage industry.\n• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.\n• Highly motivated and flexible, possessing the ability to take initiative.\n• Flexible schedule, able to work mornings, nights, holidays and weekends\n• Experience in a luxury world-class hotel or equivalent\n\nQUALIFICATION:\nAbility to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the safety or health of employee or others.
