No crazy shifts. Home every night.\nFelix Construction is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to help keep our fleet running strong. If you enjoy diagnosing problems, replacing major components, and seeing the results of your work every day, you'll fit right in.\nUnlike many mechanic jobs, you'll work consistent Monday-Friday shop hours, no overnight travel, and no rotating shifts. You'll have a clean, temperature-controlled shop, modern bays, and a wide variety of equipment to work on.\nMost importantly, you'll become an employee-owner through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which means when the company succeeds, you share in that success.\nWhat You'll Do\nYou'll perform most repairs and component replacements on heavy construction equipment in the temperature-controlled shop with emergency repairs performed out in the field.\nResponsibilities include:\nReplace major components including powertrain, brake, steering, suspension, and drivetrain systems\nPerform heavy mechanical repairs on backhoes, loaders, excavators, lifts, trucks, trailers, and other construction equipment\nRepair and replace starters, alternators, batteries, and other electrical components\nAssist with hydraulic system repairs and component replacement\nAssist with engine and transmission repairs and overhauls\nTest equipment after repairs to verify proper operation\nComplete equipment inspection reports and repair documentation\nOrder replacement parts as needed\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area\nFollow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements\nWho You Are\nWe're looking for someone who:\nHas 3-5 years of experience working as a heavy equipment or heavy-duty truck mechanic\nIs comfortable performing heavy line mechanical work and major parts replacement\nCan follow direction from senior mechanics or supervisors and complete repairs with minimal supervision\nTakes ownership of assigned work and sees it through to completion\nEnjoys being a hands-on mechanic rather than managing others\nWorks safely and takes pride in quality workmanship\nQualifications\nExperience repairing heavy construction equipment, heavy trucks, or similar equipment\nStrong mechanical aptitude\nValid driver's license with a good driving record\nCDL preferred, but not required\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred\nBilingual (English/Spanish) is a
