The Sander for Intersand will work exclusively in the sanding pre/post paint production process. The Sander will be responsible for the sanding and semi-finishing of electric guitar bodies. Sanding will be done in an up/down motion and counterclockwise motion; more specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for manually sanding guitars, quality control of production, make very minor corrections to irregularities and cleanup of immediate work area. \n Essential Functions:\nSanding skills, woodworking and finishing skills\nFollow instructions as directed by Supervisor\nEnsures own production conforms to requirements of quality and schedule\nInspects input/output quality requirements on all units processed\nFollows approved procedures to complete all assigned tasks\nMaintains work area in a clean, repaired, and organized manner\nHandles and stores all regulated materials in compliance with company policy, state and federal regulations and in accordance to the material safety data sheets\nAbility to read and interpret work instructions\nAdditional duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nPreferred 6 months - 1-year manufacturing experience\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nCommunicates and works well with others\nGood hand dexterity\nRead and interpret work instructions\nBasic knowledge of the correct use of hand power tools\nGuitar or musical background preferred but not required\nAbility to adhere to safety procedures, rules, and regulations at all times, and to wear personal protective equipment while on the factory floor, including, without limitation: safety glasses.\nAbout Fender Musical Instruments:\nFender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) is one of the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturers, marketers and distributors, whose portfolio of brands includes Fender®, Squier®, Gretsch®, Jackson®, EVH®, Charvel® and Groove Tubes®, among others.
