This role combines strong leadership with advanced product knowledge and a consultative sales approach. The Counter Supervisor ensures exceptional customer experiences, drives sales performance, and fosters a high-performing team culture-while working alongside the team to assist customers and process transactions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can coach, motivate, and support team members while aligning counter operations with company sales strategies.\nPosition Details:\nLocation | Onsite West Palm Beach, Fl\nSchedule | Monday to Friday 7:00AM TO 4:OOPM with a rotating Saturday shift 7:00AM to 12:00PM.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and oversee daily counter operations, ensuring efficient workflow and outstanding customer service.\nActively assist customers at the counter, on the phone, and via email, providing expert guidance and recommending solutions.\nProcess sales transactions accurately and efficiently through the POS system while maintaining a positive customer experience.\nCoach and mentor Counter Sales Associates and Senior Counter Sales Associates to strengthen product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer engagement skills.\nDrive sales growth by monitoring performance, setting goals, and implementing strategies for upselling, cross-selling, and promoting strategic products.\nResolve escalated customer issues promptly and professionally.\nCollaborate with Branch Management and Outside Sales to execute local sales initiatives and achieve revenue targets.\nManage staffing needs, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.\nMaintain accurate inventory control, oversee cycle counts, and ensure timely processing of special orders.\nImplement merchandising strategies to optimize product displays and promotional effectiveness.\nStay current on industry trends and new product offerings to maintain a competitive edge.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.\nRequirements\n5+ years of experience in counter sales, customer service, or related industry; plumbing/HVAC experience strongly preferred.\nProven ability to lead teams and drive sales performance.\nAdvanced product knowledge and consultative selling skills.\nStrong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution abilities.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills.\nDigital literacy and ability to analyze sales and inventory data.\nHighly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.\nAt Ferguson, we care for each other.
