Join our team today.\nFerguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate opening for a Distribution Center Load Planner. This position will be located in either Coxsackie, NY or Front Royal , VA and cover load planning responsibilities for both locations.\nResponsibilities\nAs a Load Planner, you will:\nPlan and coordinate daily truckload shipments into Ferguson distribution centers in an efficient and cost-effective manner.\nIdentify and recommend opportunities to improve transportation processes, service levels, and overall costs.\nUtilize transportation and logistics systems to tender freight to Ferguson’s carrier partners in compliance with routing guides.\nCommunicate transportation delays and service disruptions resulting from system issues, weather events, or other operational challenges that impact distribution centers and customers\nReview, evaluate, and help improve transportation procedures and operational processes in partnership with management.\nCollaborate with internal teams to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient execution of transportation plans.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree preferred; equivalent transportation, logistics, route planning, or related industry experience will also be considered.\nPrevious route planning, transportation coordination, or delivery driver experience required.\nStrong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with customers.\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced operational environment.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.\nDetail-oriented with the ability to interpret and apply processes, procedures, and operational guidelines.\nProficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook; working knowledge of Word and Access preferred.\nSelf-motivated and organized, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.\nFlexible and adaptable, with the ability to navigate changing priorities and business needs.\nAt Ferguson, we care for each other.
