You will build a career that you are proud of, at a company you can believe in.\nFerguson is currently seeking a Receiving Manager to join ourNorthCharleston, SC Shipping Hub.\nThis position oversees a team of hourly associates working a 1st shift schedule beginning at 8am. Ability to cover other shifts as needed.\n\nPosition Details:\n\nReports to the Senior Warehouse Manager\n4-5 Direct Reports\n112,000 sq. Ft warehouse\nResponsibilities:\nSupervise and coordinate unloading and stocking of inbound shipments accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperwork\nEnsure warehouse space is used optimally and kept clean and orderly\nProvide mentorship and direction to team members in proper receiving procedures\nCommunicate with receiving clerks, HQ, and drivers regarding status of inbound deliveries and changes to receiving schedules\nResearch and resolve issues involving purchase order and receiving documents\nEnsure that all receiving documentation, freight claims, and correspondence with HQ are promptly completed with attention to detail\nPromote safe work practices and resolve all safety concerns as identified\nEstablish and communicate performance standards to associates\nLead team in continuous improvement initiatives\nConduct counseling, mentoring, and performance appraisals as indicated\nProvide recommendations for selection of new associates to join the team\nParticipate in regular communication and meetings of DC leadership to coordinate shift activities\nQualifications:\nStrong background in warehouse operations and logistics\nMinimum of 2 yearsof prior experience in a Warehouse Management or Warehouse Supervisor role, preferred\nReceiving/Inbound and inventory experience is strongly preferred\nA solid understanding of OSHA regulations\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelines as required\nAt Ferguson, we care for each other.
