You will build a career that you are proud of, at a company you can believe in.\n\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior IT Business Systems Analyst - General Operations to join the Enterprise Solutions Team within the Ferguson IT organization. In this role, you will directly support the team and its associated applications, working closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, and Software Testing Engineers to ensure the successful implementation and enhancement of business systems. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and driving improvements to business processes and systems. This is a key position where your expertise in systems analysis and collaboration with technical teams will help shape and optimize Ferguson's enterprise solutions.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nFacilitates the research, exploration, analysis, and documentation of business systems requirements, translating them into detailed functional specifications for development. \nPartner with Product Owners, developers, and architects to translate complex business requirement to user stories, epics for the technical team to develop\nLead requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement\nAnalyze functional requirements, system interactions, data flows, and interface requirements across system\nDevelop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mapping documentation of system\nDocuments current business processes and models to define requirements and/or gaps. \nAnalyze detailed system factors including input/output requirements, information and paper flow, hardware, and software needs. \nAnalyze soft system factors including roles, responsibilities, policy, culture, etc. \nEvaluate the impact of potential software and process changes on the organization. \nAssist in the creation of the business case documentation. \nUnderstanding architectural consistency and usability standards. \nDrives the implementation of systems, working closely with technical team members. \nPlan and complete assigned configuration tasks within deadlines. \nDefines and develops user test cases and validates test results during testing. \nMay conduct system demonstrations and training sessions, as well as participate in design/review of training content. \nPlays a third-level support role by helping troubleshoot and resolve issues with production systems. \nParticipates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management. \nExperience with ERP systems.\nExperience reading code (Java or SQL) is a plus.\nExperience with Order Capture and Supply Chain.\nExperience with Unidata is a plus. \n\nQualifications and Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.\nMinimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant technical or business work experience, with preference for experience in business areas such as accounting, finance, warehouse operations, purchasing, order management, and order fulfillment. Business or systems analysis experience can substitute for formal education.\nProficient in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Jira, and Confluence. Familiarity with application integration methods, including data mapping processes.\nRequirements Gathering: Gathering requirements through stakeholder interviews, brainstorming with PO's, workshops, and process analysis\nAgile Artifacts: Epics, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Story Mapping, Definition of Done\nImplementation Validation: UAT planning & execution, test case design, defect triage, post-go-live monitoring\nTools: JIRA, Confluence, Visio/Lucidchart, SQL, Excel (advanced), Azure DevOps\nMethodologies: Agile/Scrum, Waterfall (hybrid environments), SAFe\nDomain : Supply chain, ERP\nStrong domain knowledge in at least one business area, with the ability to analyze and improve sophisticated processes and systems.\nSuperb communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical collaborators at all levels. Capable of presenting in various formats, from one-on-one meetings to large group presentations.\nMeticulous, proactive, and efficient with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Able to work independently and within teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.\nAbility to learn new systems and tools quickly, and to work with minimal direction.\nFamiliarity with software development life cycle methodologies, and ability to support projects through all phases.\nSoft Skills: Strong listening skills, creative problem-solving, and effective at presenting ideas and solutions.\n\nAt Ferguson, we care for each other.
