You will build a career that you are proud of, at a company you can believe in.\n\nWe have a superb opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer – Boundary Application to join the Enterprise Solutions team, within the Ferguson IT organization. This position will involve testing small to large-sized software enhancements. The ideal candidate will have experience with testing application software, have the technical ability to validate data updates to the database, along with strong social skills to connect with both technical and non-technical associates. \n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nOverall 3+ years of QA Functional testing. Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and standard processes. \nMust have extensive Manual / Functional testing experience. \nSome hands-on experience in Automation testing using Selenium with Java, Python, Playwright, etc., with a focus on Business-Driven Development (i.e., Cucumber). \nAble to write test plans, create and execute test scripts, and report defects, clearly, for Functional Testing. \nInvolved in peer-review of test scripts for Functional, Smoke, Regression, and System testing. \nOrganizing and monitoring defect management processes. \nAttend status calls as needed to report on testing progress. \nProvide mentorship and guidance to less experienced quality assurance engineers in standard methodologies for quality. \nCollaborate closely with onshore team member(s) to communicate timelines, progress, and the work you'll be doing on the project. \n\nQualifications and Requirements:\nBachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related \nExperience with Project & Quality Management tools such as Atlassian/Confluence, JIRA, qTest / ALM. \nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments. \nProficient knowledge of the STLC, various testing concepts (e.g. functionality, usability, performance) and methodologies for ensuring software quality. \nBasic understanding of SQL. \nExperience using postman. \nGood teammate, go-getter demeanor, and able to work independently in a faced-paced environment \nExperience in testing Web Applications \nExperience testing in Finance Related Applications \nExperience in working UniData / Mainframe is a plus. \nExperience with Python is a plus.\nExperience in Pricing applications is a plus. \nExperience testing integrations is a plus. \nExperience in performance testing is a plus. \n\nAt Ferguson, we care for each other.
