If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service, coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you\nShift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm\nPay: Starts at $23 per hour and could be more based on experience\nResponsibilities\nAs a Valve Technician, you will be responsible for the following, including, but not limited to:\nResponsible for assembly of all automated package\n\nFollow all established standard operating procedures for valve automation including maintaining a safe and organized workspace and observing necessary safety precautions during assembly, testing, storage, and transfer of product\n\nFollow all proper procedures for set up, use and maintenance of tools, and equipment in the automation center\n\nCourteous interaction and communication with inside and outside sales, management, and warehouse personnel\n\nProfessional interaction with customers when addressing questions and concerns about automated packages\n\nTroubleshoot automated packages, in house and in the field, to perform necessary work and repairs\n\nAssist with developing automated valve sales training program\n\nPerform functional automated valve testing, record, and store data\n\nWork closely with inspectors to meet customer demands\n\nWillingness to travel up to 25% is required. Travel may include overnight stays for field service projects and support at other Ferguson locations\n\nMay be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities\n\nQualifications\nThe ideal candidate will possess the following:\nMust be at least 21 years of age.\n\nValid state issued license is required.\n\nFollow all DOT standards and regulations\n\nMust currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.\n\n3 to 5 years experience is preferred but not required\n\nValve & actuator industrial experience highly preferred\n\nBasic knowledge of computers\n\nAbility to read and understand customer technical data and schematics\n\nAbility to multi-task and meet order deadlines\n\nKnowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control\n\nBe goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines, build relationships, and enjoy a team atmosphere\n\nPossess a positive attitude\n\nExcellent communication, time management, and organizational skills\n\nA self-motivator and have an ambition to succeed\n\nEnthusiastic, courteous, and articulate\n\nAbility to learn quickly\n\n*Pre-employment drug and background screening required*\nAt Ferguson, we care for each other.
