In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in mechanical systems, BIM coordination, fabrication, and constructability to ensure coordinated models, fabrication packages, and installation documents are field-ready and built for success.\nAs a trusted technical reviewer, you'll identify issues before fabrication and construction begin, helping reduce project risk, improve efficiency, and support successful project delivery. Your work will have a direct impact on quality, consistency, and operational excellence across complex projects.\nWhat You'll Do:\nReview coordinated mechanical BIM models, fabrication models, spool drawings, assembly drawings, and installation documentation for accuracy and completeness.\nEvaluate mechanical systems for constructability, fabrication readiness, and compliance with project requirements.\nVerify alignment between coordinated models, fabrication content, and installation requirements.\nIdentify conflicts, omissions, dimensional discrepancies, and constructability issues before they impact fabrication or field installation.\nEnsure deliverables meet contract requirements, project specifications, approved submittals, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable codes.\nPartner with VDC teams, project managers, fabrication leaders, and trade partners to resolve issues and improve project outcomes.\nProvide actionable feedback that enhances model quality, fabrication accuracy, and coordination effectiveness.\nSupport the continuous improvement of QA/QC processes, fabrication standards, and VDC best practices.\nWhat You'll Bring:\nExperience in mechanical construction, fabrication, VDC, BIM coordination, detailing, or a related field.\nStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication methods, and construction practices.\nExperience reviewing fabrication drawings, spool sheets, installation packages, and coordinated BIM models.\nUnderstanding of constructability, prefabrication workflows, and field installation requirements.\nProficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, or similar VDC tools.\nAbility to interpret construction documents, specifications, submittals, and fabrication requirements.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work independently while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMechanical trade experience in HVAC, piping, plumbing, sheet metal, or industrial mechanical systems.\nExperience with fabrication detailing and manufacturing workflows.\nKnowledge of prefabrication and modular construction methods.\nExperience supporting field installation teams and resolving constructability challenges.\nWhy Join Us?\nPlay a key role in ensuring quality and constructability before work reaches the field.\nInfluence QA/QC standards and best practices across VDC and fabrication operations.\nCollaborate with experienced construction, fabrication, and VDC professionals on complex projects.\nHelp improve project outcomes, fabrication efficiency, and installation success.\nMake a meaningful impact through innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.\nAt Ferguson, we care for each other. The estimated pay range for this position is below.
