The role requires a qualified Fitter with strong mechanical assembly experience in heavy engineering, mining, or OEM manufacturing environments.\nThe incumbent ensures that all equipment is assembled safely, efficiently, and to the required Fermel quality and customer specifications before final inspection and dispatch.\nMechanical Assembly & Fitting\nAssemble trackless mining machinery and capital equipment according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.\nPerform mechanical fitting of components including:\nHydraulic systems\nDrivetrain components\nAxles and transmissions\nStructural assemblies\nPneumatic systems\nBrake systems\nInstall and align mechanical components using precision measuring instruments.\nConduct torque settings and assembly verification checks.\nEnsure correct use of tools, lifting equipment, and assembly fixtures.\nProduction & Manufacturing\nMeet daily and weekly production targets.\nWork closely with Fabrication, Quality Control, Stores, and Engineering departments to ensure smooth production flow.\nIdentify assembly issues and escalate technical problems to supervisors.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives to improve assembly efficiency and reduce rework.\nQuality & Compliance\nEnsure assemblies comply with OEM standards, engineering specifications, and quality requirements.\nConduct self-inspections during assembly processes.\nRectify assembly defects and non-conformances identified during inspections.\nComplete all production and quality documentation accurately.\nMaintain adherence to ISO quality standards and production procedures.\nHealth & Safety\nComply with all company health and safety requirements.\nEnsure safe handling of tools, machinery, and lifting equipment.\nMaintain a clean and organized workstation in line with 5S principles.\nReport unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.\nQualifications\nQualified Artisan -
