This position will play a key role in payroll accounting, union benefits administration, and payroll tax compliance across our organization.\nThe ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable navigating complex payroll requirements. We're looking for someone with hands-on experience in ADP Workforce Now, union benefit administration, and payroll tax compliance who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\nThis position reports directly to the Manager of Payroll and is based out of Nth Degree's corporate office in Duluth, GA. We operate in a hybrid capacity, typically three days per week in the office.\nSalary is $65k-75k.\nWhat You'll Do\nManage payroll accounting activities, including payroll reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger reporting, and resolution of discrepancies.\nAdminister union benefits, including calculating, reconciling, and submitting contributions and reports to applicable union benefit funds.\nReview collective bargaining agreements to ensure accurate union deductions, employer contributions, and benefit reporting.\nOversee payroll tax compliance activities in partnership with ADP, including reconciling payroll tax liabilities, reviewing tax reports, researching agency notices, and ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting.\nServe as a primary point of contact for payroll tax discrepancies, working with ADP and applicable tax agencies to research and resolve issues.\nUtilize ADP Workforce Now to maintain accurate payroll records, generate reports, research discrepancies, and support payroll processing activities.\nReconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts, including wages, payroll taxes, benefit deductions, and employer contributions.\nPartner with Finance, HR, and Payroll teams to ensure accurate payroll reporting and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.\nAssist with quarterly and year-end payroll activities, including W-2 reconciliations, tax reporting, and annual audits.\nSupport payroll activities for a diverse workforce, including union and nonunion employees, hourly and salaried employees, and multiple payroll schedules.\nMaintain accurate records and supporting documentation for payroll transactions, tax filings, and union benefit reporting.\nRespond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, internal departments, union representatives, and government agencies.\nIdentify opportunities to improve payroll processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase efficiency.\nMaintain strict confidentiality of employee, compensation, banking, and tax information.\nPerform additional payroll and accounting responsibilities as assigned\nWho You Are\n3+ years of hands-on payroll accounting or payroll administration experience, including payroll reconciliations and tax compliance.\nHands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now is required.\nExperience administering union benefits is required, including contribution calculations, reporting, reconciliations, and working with collective bargaining agreements.\nExperience managing payroll tax reconciliations, agency notices, and compliance requirements in a multi-state environment.\nWorking knowledge of payroll accounting principles, general ledger reconciliations, and journal entries.\nUnderstanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze data, reconcile accounts, and prepare reports.\nExcellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet strict payroll, tax, and reporting deadlines.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, service-oriented approach.\nSound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee and financial information.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting payroll for a large, multi-state workforce.\nExperience working with multiple union agreements and benefit
