The more you want to own, the better\n\nWhat you’ll own\nProduction AWS: ECS, RDS Postgres, S3, networking, IAM, cost\n\nBackend services in our main Java codebase, and the developer experience around all of it\n\nInfrastructure as code, and the release path through GitHub Actions\n\nReliability and observability: Datadog, alerting, tested backup and restore, runbooks\n\nExamples of what you might work on\nIntegrations: connectivity between our platform and the ERPs, warehouses and banks we connect to\n\nIdentity and access: bringing one coherent multi-tenancy model across our applications\n\nReducing complexity: spotting where the estate can be simplified as we grow\n\nCore backend services: fee calculations and accruals, pricing across currencies and jurisdictions, tracking physical stock around the world\n\nNew infrastructure: standing up what the business needs, often at short notice\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nEssential\nA record of driving substantial work from problem to production on your own initiative\n\nReal enthusiasm for getting into unfamiliar problems and working them out\n\nProduction AWS experience, including when it goes wrong\n\nStrong backend development experience building and running production services.
