The successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of hydrologic, hydraulic, and drainage designs for a major transportation infrastructure project, working within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include managing drainage studies and analyses, developing stormwater solutions, preparing technical reports and construction documents, coordinating with other disciplines, and overseeing drainage design schedules and deliverables.\nWe are looking for candidates with over 10 years of experience who demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience delivering drainage solutions for complex transportation projects.\nResponsibilities and Duties:\nLead and oversee the development of drainage engineering deliverables, including studies, hydraulic and hydrologic analyses, design calculations, plans, specifications, and technical reports.\nManage drainage design activities, including flood studies, stormwater management, and evaluation of engineering alternatives to develop practical and compliant solutions.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, designers, and CAD staff, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to project requirements.\nCoordinate with project management, clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery, schedules, and design integration.\nPlan, prioritize, and monitor drainage design tasks and resources to ensure timely completion of deliverables and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.\nLead drainage teams and apply engineering best practices to manage flooding risk, stormwater management, and overall drainage design performance.\nQualifications:\nMaster’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license required, with the ability to obtain Tennessee registration.\n10+ years of experience in transportation drainage design, including freeways, highways, and interchanges.\nExperience serving as Engineer of Record (EOR) and leading drainage design teams.\nProficiency with industry-standard drainage design software, including OpenRoads, MicroStation, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, and ProjectWise.\nStrong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and engineering design practices.\nExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.\nDemonstrated commitment to quality, integrity, and professional ethics.\nSeize the challenge.
