Since opening in October 2014, nine months ahead of the contracted completion date, the general highway lanes are experiencing a 70% decrease in congestion time and a 15% increase in average speed. This Cintra-led project has doubled capacity and significantly improved mobility along this heavily congested corridor that traverses the heart of six cities through Northeast Tarrant County.\nThe North Tarrant Express 35W (NTE 35W) project spans 16.8 miles from I-30 in downtown Fort Worth to Eagle Parkway at the north end of Alliance Airport. The project is operated and maintained by the Cintra-led consortium in North Texas. This project has improved mobility by adding additional road capacity through a combination of general highway lanes and continuous frontage roads, along with tolled express lanes that use variable pricing to keep traffic moving.\nThe LBJ Express (LBJ) is currently the largest P3 operation in Texas and one of the largest ever undertaken in the U.S. It is a regionally-significanttransportation improvement project in North Texas that is relieving severe congestion in the dense urban area of north Dallas. In 2009, the Cintra-led consortium was selected to complete the design, construction, finance, operation, and maintenance of the project along I-635 and I-35E. An Operations & Maintenance Trainee will assist in the monitoring of Operations & Maintenance costs, preparation of plans, presentations, reports, and consultant/vendor/materials comparison statements crucial to maintenance of our assets and many other challenging projects.\nSummary of Duties and Responsibilities:\nSupport on the development of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Cost Models in Excel for inclusion into overall Financial Models that are generated to study the feasibility of investing in new highway projects\nGather relevant data from sources such as the RS-Means cost database, project design drawings, Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), environmental assessments, and design reports to conduct analysis of O&M expenditures for new proposals and existing concessions\nContribute to road safety projects: Road Safety Audits (RSA), Crash analysis, Highway Safety Manual analysis, Transportation Safety Planning/Management.\nAssist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.\nGaining exposure to project, commercial, and client management\nSupport on monitoring O&M costs for existing concessions by collecting data on concessionaries from the O&M benchmarking system\nPrepare presentations, reports, consultant/vendor comparison statements, and other necessary documents to be used within the Technical Department\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD\nHigh level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel AND Power Bi.
