The role combines technical analysis, documentation, collaboration, and issue resolution.\nKey Responsibilities\nTax Reporting and Payments; Review and reconcile payroll tax payments and filings, including W-2s, W-2c’s, and quarterly/annual returns).\nAnalyze payroll tax data, perform calculations, and provide insights to management for decision-making\nDesign, document, and review payroll tax procedures to maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation\nResearch and resolve payroll tax discrepancies, notices, or compliance issues for multi-state entities\nWork closely with payroll, HR, and accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data and tax reporting\nAssist Payroll Tax Manager with strategic initiatives, audits, and process improvements\nRequired Qualifications\nDeep Knowledge of Payroll Federal and State tax computations\nBachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field or relevant years’ experience.\nMinimum of 10 years of progressive payroll tax experience.\nKnowledge of Workday is a plus\nKnowledge of AI process improvements is a plus\nProven experience managing complex multi-state and multi-entity payroll operations.\nProven ability to safeguard confidential information and uphold payroll data security standards.\nStrong analytical capability, including the ability to interpret payroll data and deliver meaningful reporting and insights.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.\nTrack record of identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance payroll efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.\nAbility to manage payroll-related matters during unexpected events and support business continuity requirements\nEssential Skills\nAnalytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical abilities to calculate taxes, deductions, and benefits accurately \nAttention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing payroll data and ensuring compliance with tax laws\nCommunication: Ability to explain complex tax matters to non-tax stakeholders and collaborate across departments\nProblem-Solving: Capable of resolving discrepancies and handling audits effectively\nTechnical Skills: MS applications, excel, word and AI Copilot\nSeize the challenge.
