This includes the delivery of ballastless track systems, rail installation, precast and in-situ track slabs, and the Infrastructure Maintenance Depot at Calvert.\nThis role will support the delivery of the Track North section of the programme as it enters a significant phase of procurement and delivery, with multiple new supply chain contracts and design packages being mobilised.\nThe Role\nWe are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Track North Commercial Team.\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of the project, supporting the administration of the main contract and a growing portfolio of supply chain contacts. Working within a collaborative project environment, you will help ensure effective contract administration, robust cost control, proactive management of change, and accurate commercial reporting.\nThis is an excellent opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes whilst developing experience across major design, construction and rail systems contracts.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the commercial management of the Track North portfolio, including cost control, forecasting and reporting.\nAdminister the main contract and supply chain agreements in accordance with contractual and governance requirements.\nManage commercial change, including compensation events, variations and value recovery activities.\nSupport procurement activities, tender evaluations and subcontract management.\nAssess applications for payment and maintain accurate commercial records.\nIdentify and manage commercial risks and opportunities, providing clear advice to project stakeholders.\nBuild effective working relationships with project teams, clients and supply chain partners whilst protecting the JV's commercial position.\nAbout You\nEssential\nDegree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.\nExperience in quantity surveying or commercial management within construction, engineering or infrastructure projects.\nStrong understanding of contract administration, cost management and commercial reporting.\nExcellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.\nStrong commercial awareness and attention to detail.\nDesirable\nExperience of NEC contracts.\nRail or major infrastructure project experience.\nExperience managing consultants or subcontractors.\nMembership of, or working towards membership of, RICS, CIOB, ICES or equivalent professional institution.\nExperience of change management and compensation event processes.\nWhat We Offer\nYou will join a growing commercial team supporting a high-profile national infrastructure programme at a critical stage of delivery.
