It is now delivering track infrastructure across the entire HS2 route.\nWe are seeking an experienced, strategically minded and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will play a key role within the commercial team for our HS2 Track contract.\nThe ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a proven track record of making informed decisions grounded in both experience and data analysis, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritise tasks.\nLocation: You will initially be based out of the HS2 project team office near Euston Station (for around 1.5 years), with a requirement to work from other project offices in Hillingdon (Greater London) / Buckinghamshire later on as the project develops.\nAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the following:\nExperienced in administrating NEC3 & NEC4 forms of contract\nManagement of subcontract accounts\nSupporting the Commercial Manager and management of the commercial team\nMaintaining suitable records and supporting audit processes\nAdminister risk and opportunity management processes, ensuring commercial entitlement is maximised\nSupport contract review and monthly reporting processes\nWork closely with project management and engineering teams and liaise with Employers commercial team and client team.\nProduce documentation / evidence to demonstrate KPI achievement.\nProduce monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract budget reports.\nMaintain effective, accurate cost control.\nIdentify and provide appropriate, timely information to support change control process.\nSupport procurement team through tenders including producing subcontract documentation.\nManage subcontracts from initial placement of order to final account.\nMaintain registers of variations, delay, extension times and claims.\nWhat do you bring to the role?\nEssential\nSuccessful experience at Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor level demonstrating effective core commercial skills\nAbility to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the project team including the Client, Project Managers and Designers\nHave the confidence and ability to work within a team environment, and to have a positive influence on outcomes\nWilling to help and assist those around you in their development\nCompetent in the use of Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word\nDesirable\nEarly Contractor Involvement experience\nExperience in NEC3 and NEC4 forms of contract\nExperience of target cost contracts\nGained or working towards CICES membership or equivalent\n*Please note that this job description does not represent a comprehensive list of activities and employees may be requested to undertake other reasonable duties.\nSeize the challenge.
