This position provides the qualified candidate with long-term growth opportunities within a highly respected private club.\nAs a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining the various food preparation facilities in a clean, neat and to the Toronto Public Health compliant way. Additionally, you will also be responsible for the set up and dismantling of buffets, removal of waste products and handling of all kitchen cleaning chemicals.\nSchedule and Availability\nThis position requires full availability, including evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may vary. Typical shifts are scheduled from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM.\nAn Overview of Main Duties and Responsibilities:\nConstant reorganizing of equipment, plates, small wares in storage.\nCleans pots, dishes and kitchen equipment as required\nRestocks washed and dried items in proper location.\nOperates & Monitors dishwashing machines to ensure proper performance and chemical levels.\nEnsures that the kitchen is properly cleaned before ending shift. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors and walk-in coolers twice daily.\nEnsures that all cooking and kitchen equipment is turned off nightly.\nSets up, polishes and removes all items required for buffet cooking and hot holding.\nMonitors and cleans drains, grease traps.\nOther kitchen related duties as assigned by Chef, Sous Chef or first cooks .\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nGrade 10 or equivalent is recommended.\n2 years’ experience performing similar duties is required.\nMust be able to: protect themselves and others from misuse of chemical and cleaning products, apply common sense to all situations, carry out instructions in either written, oral, or diagram form, interact with coworkers in a positive manner. \nAbility to do strenuous physical labour:\nMust be WHIMIS trained\nMust be available for all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.\n\nWhy Join Us?\nComplimentary staff meals (Meals are a taxable benefit)\nComplimentary parking \nWellness Spending Account \nPaid Sick/Wellness days and vacation in accordance with Club Policy\n\nCompensation: The expected compensation range for this role is $19.00 – $20.00 per hour.
