This position is also responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of life and/or annuity products, business platforms, data extracts, and providing ongoing support of retail projects and initiatives. Responsibilities are inclusive of the development and maintenance of product checker/validation tools, product training, and ensuring accuracy in product values, functionality, mechanics, and data extracts within administrative/proposal systems and other upstream/downstream systems to ensure product integrity is fully achieved.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nSupport the overall Product Roadmap to meet the timing and milestones from the Product Development and Product Implementation deliverables while exhibiting flexibility as projects are re-prioritized or timelines are shifted. \nSupport the development and maintenance of checker tools and calculators used to support new products, riders, enhancements, and remediation efforts in the Administration and Illustration systems and any applicable production requests (e.g. Accelerated Death Benefit quotes), while continuously exploring opportunity to enhance the tools capabilities. \nSupport the creation and review of Model Office/UAT test plans for new products, riders, enhancements, data feeds, and remediation efforts within various systems, in coordination with other internal and external partners. \nSupport the strategic planning and execution of Model Office/UAT testing for new products, riders, enhancements, data feeds, and remediation efforts within various systems, while continuously exploring efforts to streamline and/or automate test execution. \nProvide additional Product Development and Product Implementation support which includes assisting in the review and creation of Product Specs, System Requirements, and policy forms while exhibiting expert knowledge of current system(s) functionality. \nProvide support to business-as-usual items, such as completing policy holder service requests, data analysis requests, breaking down current system product calculations/mechanics, and input and review on agent/consumer marketing materials in a timely and efficient manner which may include manual calculations. \nSupervisory Responsibilities: This role does not have formal people leadership responsibilities but may provide guidance, mentorship, or subject matter expertise to others.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nExpert knowledge of Excel, SQL and Visual Basic for Applications, with the ability to manage large data sets and complex formulas.\nMust be extremely detail oriented, analytical and be able to handle multiple projects\nTeam player with demonstrated ability to proactively identify issues and to influence key project decisions to achieve desired outcomes\nSelf-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and is able to operate efficiently in unpredictable and challenging project environments\nAbility to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization in both technical and business areas successfully\nExcellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills\nFamiliarity with CRM tools.\nMiniumum Qualifications \n5+ year of relevant experience\nRelated experience with 3+ years working in the financial services or insurance industry\nLife insurance and/or annuity product knowledge with preference for Indexed UL and Fixed Indexed Annuity experience\nFamiliarity with insurance administration and illustration systems preferred\nCombination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.\nOther Requirements\nThis position primarily involves sedentary work, requiring long periods of sitting, regular use of a computer, and occasional standing or walking, with reasonable accommodations available.\nPerform other functions, duties and projects as assigned\nRegular and punctual attendance\nAdditional Information\nWork Environments\nF&G believes in an employee-centric flexible environment, which is why we offer the ability for in-office, hybrid and remote work arrangements.
