This role will write progressively complex code and independently solve problems and resolve technical issues. The role will serve in a lead capacity with other developers through required feature updates, code management, and requirement implementation.\nThis position supports F&G’s Electronic Data Interfaces (EDI) team, which delivers secure, reliable external data integrations between F&G and distributors, carriers, aggregators, and other business partners. The role will design and develop file-based, ETL, data-product, and cloud-native API-based integration solutions that enable external partners to access business data and perform supported business functions.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nDescription \nDesign, code, test, and document software solutions that are high performing and intuitive, adhering to F&G’s software development methodologies, frameworks, standards, and security requirements.\nPerform unit, regression, security, and load tests to validate the readiness of internally and externally developed code for production as required.\nDesign and develop complex integrations.\nDevelop, enhance, and support secure external integrations, including APIs built using .NET and Azure services, file-based interfaces, and ETL processes supporting distributors, carriers, aggregators, IMO groups, and other business partners.\nDesign, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica and data products in Snowflake to source, transform, validate, and deliver integration data.\nPerform impact analysis for interface/system changes affecting the applications environment.\nDevelop estimates for project and maintenance work.\nDesign integrations for custom or third-party solutions, including DTCC integrations, proprietary data feeds, iPipeline Agency Integrator feeds, and future API-based partner integrations.\nAssist with the design of architecture and solutions.\nTranslate undefined business problems and defined business objectives and goals into functional solutions.\nDesign with assistance within architectural standards.\nLead technical aspects of one or more applications within the function.\nTechnical ownership of one or more business-facing technologies to deliver business outcomes.\nInteract with clients and stakeholders.\nSupport and interact with various IT teams and lines of business on integration efforts.\nProvide production support for owned integrations and applications, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, defect resolution, and implementation of improvements that strengthen reliability and operational performance.\nMentor other engineers and provide technical guidance through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and delivery of complex solutions.\nSupervisory Responsibilities: This role does not have formal people leadership responsibilities but may provide guidance, mentorship, or subject matter expertise to others.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nSelf-starter with a high energy level and willingness to take on responsibility\nProven verbal, written communication, and conflict resolution skills\nExcellent ability to think analytically and solve problems\nAbility to work in a dynamic environment\nAbility to create technical documentation\nAbility to develop good relationships with vendors and their technical resources\nAbility to create strong, collaborative relationships with business partners\nAbility to lead and mentor others\nAbility to maintain a technical vision and roadmap\nAbility to act as a project lead within an initiative including task identification, design, testing, implementation, tracking, reporting, and status updates to management\nStrong understanding of software engineering practices, including source control, automated testing, code review, CI/CD, and secure development principles\nDemonstrated ability to independently design, develop, and support complex integration solutions while working within established architectural standards\nAbility to communicate technical concepts, integration dependencies, risks, and solution options clearly to technical and business stakeholders\nMinimum Qualifications\nBS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
