Reporting to the Head of Finance, Asia, and working closely with the Finance Operations Senior Manager, this role plays a key part in the accounting operations of the firm across the Hong Kong, Singapore, and China entities, with key responsibility for the month-end close, financial reporting, and tax compliance, as well as supporting the statutory and group audits. The role places a strong focus on income statement analysis to provide insight into revenue and cost performance.\nThe ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant who combines strong technical knowledge with a hands-on approach, takes accountability for their deliverables, and communicates clearly with senior internal and external stakeholders. They will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced professional services environment and contributing to continuous improvement in processes and controls. Experience with VAT/GST filing across Singapore and China jurisdictions will be highly regarded.\nResponsibilities\nWork closely with the Finance Operations Senior Manager on month-end close, audits, and process improvements, ensuring alignment across the Asia finance function.\nAct as a key member to perform the month-end closing, including revenue recognition, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate and compliant accounting treatment.\nPerform detailed monthly income statement analysis, explaining revenue and cost movements against prior periods, budget and forecast, and identifying trends, anomalies and risks.\nEnsure departmental costs are accurately recorded, coded, and allocated to the correct cost centres, reviewing cost reports and resolving variances with budget holders on a timely basis.\nReview and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management reports, providing analysis and commentary on key variances to the Head of Finance and regional leadership.\nSupport the statutory and group audit processes together with Finance Operations Senior Manager.\nManage tax filing obligations across Hong Kong, Singapore, and China, including GST/VAT compliance, corporate income tax, and withholding tax matters, and liaise with external tax advisers.\nPartner with operational teams on cost budgeting and reforecasting to support business to drive cost control.\nProactively identify opportunities to drive cost optimisation, analysing spending trends and recommending practical cost-saving initiatives to the Head of Finance and business leaders.\nPartner with global finance teams and external service providers on group reporting, intercompany, and consolidation matters.\nMaintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies, and drive process and system improvements to enhance efficiency in the Asia finance function.\nSupport ad hoc finance projects as required.\nDesired Skills & Qualities\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline from a recognised university.\nA recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. HKICPA, ACCA, CPA) is required.\nOver 10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a professional services or multinational environment.
