As a Billing Associate, the person will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing utilizing the firms accounting platform, NetSuite. In this role, collaboration with project teams, clients, and finance departments will be expected to streamline billing procedures and to maintain compliance with project contracts. This role will be based in our Washington, D.C. office and follows a hybrid working schedule (3 days expected in-person).\nResponsibilities\nBilling Process Coordination:\nSupport the end-to-end billing process for NetSuite projects, helping ensure accuracy and timely completion.\nPrepare and review invoices to confirm completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project contracts.\nCollaboration with Project Teams:\nPartner with client managers and project teams to understand project scope, billing terms, and related support needs.\nBuild trusted relationships with internal teams, proactively manage billing steps, and help secure the approvals needed to keep the billing process on track.\nClient Communication:\nRespond to client billing inquiries, provide clear billing information, and support a positive client experience throughout the billing process.\nCollaborate with the Receivables team to follow up on overdue invoices when needed.\nContract Compliance:\nHelp ensure billing activities align with client contracts, agreed terms, and internal requirements.\nWork with Legal and project teams to clarify and resolve billing-term discrepancies.\nDocumentation and Reporting:\nMaintain clear and accurate documentation of billing activities, approvals, and client interactions.\nPrepare regular reports on billing status, outstanding invoices, and other relevant metrics.\nNetSuite System Utilization:\nUse NetSuite to manage billing activity efficiently and accurately.\nStay current on relevant NetSuite features and updates that may improve or affect billing procedures.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nStrong understanding of project contracts, billing terms, and invoice requirements.\nAttention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.\nExcellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.\nAbility to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience with billing, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nAbout FGS Global\nFGS Global is a strategic advisory and communications consultancy, with over 1400 multidisciplinary experts across the world’s major financial, government, business, and cultural centers.
