As the Cyber Security Specialist, you will ensure the security and compliance of our information systems in alignment with NIST and CMMC standards. You will also be responsible for implementing and managing cyber security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard our digital assets and infrastructure. Please keep in mind this role is needed onsite and is NOT remote.\nJob Responsibilities:\nAssist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with NIST and CMMC standards\nConduct regular security assessments, audits, and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate potential risks\nMonitor and respond to cyber security incidents and breaches, providing timely and effective remediation\nCollaborate with IT and other departments to ensure the secure integration and operation of information systems\nPerform ISSM/ISSO Duties: Carry out tasks similar to those of an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) or Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), including managing security aspects of information systems and maintaining security documentation\nConduct risk assessments and annual tabletop exercises to evaluate and improve security measures and incident response plans\nProvide guidance and training to staff on cybersecurity best practices and protocols\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends in cybersecurity\nPrepare and present detailed reports on security findings, incidents, and compliance status to management\nSupport the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nWhat we need from you:\nBachelor’s degree in Cyber Security/Information Systems or equivalent experience\nA minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a cybersecurity role\nMust be able to obtain and maintain government security clearance\nProficiency in cyber security assessment tools and methodologies\nStrong understanding of network and system security, intrusion detection and prevention, and incident response\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment\nCommitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry
