As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the support of current production systems to improve safety, quality, reliability, cost, and cycle time. Being a Manufacturing Engineer means you will support processes and equipment in the manufacturing of carbon/carbon composites. These processes involve high pressure, high temperature equipment, including piping, valves, cooling systems & process automation controls. The schedule for this Manufacturing Engineer is a choice of Sunday-Thursday, Tuesday-Saturday or Monday-Friday 3:00pm-12:00pm.\nJob Responsibilities:\nDesign, specify, and develop new equipment for future production systems\nPerform root cause analysis for failure investigations and other data analysis tasks, make data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement\nWork closely with Production and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot and improve equipment and processes using Lean/Six Sigma tools and MRL standards\nEmploy Engineering tools such as BOM refinement, Design Reviews, PFMEAs, IQ/OQ, Value Stream Maps, GD&T, etc.\nProvide technical support for 7x24 manufacturing facility in assigned areas of responsibility\nResearch, organize and author Engineering documents such as ECOs, manufacturing procedures and manual, initial production travelers\nSupport non-conformance program and implement preventive actions\nWrite periodic reports or oral presentations to management and customers on specific projects\nEnsure that health and safety policies are followed\nApply quality standards to ensure compliance with certification requirements in plant applications\nWhat we need from you:\n Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline \n8 years of experience in manufacturing \nKnowledge of process equipment operation principles, methods, and process capability \nSuccessful in a team environment \nDemonstrated skills in technical problem solving and project coordination \nStrong work ethic \nExcellent attention to detail \nMS Office experience \nStrong oral and written communication skills \nComfortable working hands-on in a production environment when needed \nPreferred:\n Experience with industrial tools and equipment \nWorking knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles \nMechanical Aptitude \nExperience with GD&T, and engineering drawing approval standards \nExperience with various forms of industrial process equipment such as pressure vessels, pumps, fluid systems, ovens, cranes, lifts, robotics, etc. \nExperience in aerospace/high-temperature composites, textiles or industrial engineering systems would distinguish the
