The focus in Maine is on multidirectional reinforced Carbon/Carbon (C/C) and Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) that enable high-temperature components such as: thermal protection systems, re-entry vehicle nose tips as well as rocket motor throats and nozzles.\nOur materials are being used on ground-breaking space initiatives such as the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle and the heat shield for NASA's Mars 2020 mission, important missile programs, airfoils in commercial and military jet engines, and as lightweight armor for U.S. military ground vehicles.\nYour Role: FMI is seeking a highly motived and goal oriented Program Manager to join their Program Management team! This position is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all related activities to the program management of the company’s key contract programs and development programs. Additionally, responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating programs according to pre-determined timelines and budgets.\nJob Responsibilities:\nManage program development from initiation to closure\nOversee scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of the programs\nEnsure master plans and schedules are followed\nDirect others for successful completion of the programs\nAccountable for program results along with the program sponsor\nWork with program sponsor and stakeholders to complete program charter outlining, scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget and schedule\nComplete work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task\nProvide a program schedule to identify when each task will be performed\nCoordinate with planning department and contracts manager to align the program schedule to the customer schedule requirements\nClearly communicate expectations to the organization, team members and stakeholders\nAct as a mediator between stakeholders, team members and operations\nResolve issues and problems throughout the program and project cycles\nTrack and report on program milestones and provide weekly status reports\nEstablish and manage a set cadence of program reviews\nDevelop and monitor metrics to measure execution\nDevelop good understanding of cost and manage cost estimating efforts\nWork with internal stakeholders to clearly articulate cost/schedule for proposal development\nDevelop tools and best practices for Program Management\nWhat we need from you:\nBachelors in a Technical Engineering and/or Business Management degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience\nMinimum 5 years of Project or Program Management experience\nMust possess and be eligible to obtain and maintain a USG clearance\nExceptional communication and organization skills\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust focus and workflow based on changing priorities and needs\nHighly motivated self-starter capable of working independently and in a team\nStrong execution and customer focus that drives for results\nAbility to interface with all levels of internal management as well as program sponsors and sub-contractors.\nStrong Business Acumen, action orientated with timely decision-making capabilities\nGood listening skills with interpersonal savvy\nExpert in Microsoft Office
