The role will be responsible for coordinating import and export shipments, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing logistics partners, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.\nThe ideal candidate should have strong experience in international logistics operations, export/import documentation, and freight coordination.\nYou will report to the Lead-International Logistics.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nCoordinate international export shipments from India to the United States and other global destinations.\nSupport India domestic transportation operations and manage imports operations.\nPrepare, review, and maintain import/export documentation, including CI, PL, COO, EVD, SDF, SCOMET, SLI, AWB, BL/SWB, Shipping Bill documentation, BOE, and E-way bills.\nArrange shipment bookings and pickups with courier companies, freight forwarders, airlines, shipping lines, and transport partners across air, sea, and road.\nMonitor cargo transit and ensure on-time delivery while proactively resolving shipment delays or logistics issues.\nCoordinate closely with customs house agents (CHA) to ensure smooth customs clearance and regulatory compliance.\nHandle shipping escalations, customs delays, and delivery issues, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder communication.\nMaintain accurate import/export documentation records in compliance with regulatory and internal audit requirements.\nProvide freight quotations, tariff estimates, route planning, and transit time analysis to support the costing and operations teams.\nCoordinate with internal warehouse and 3PL partners to ensure smooth receiving, storage, packing, and dispatch activities.\nAnalyze on-time delivery performance and transit times, and recommend improvements to enhance logistics efficiency.\nVerify freight invoices and support freight cost tracking and analysis.\nManage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, courier partners, and transport vendors to ensure efficient shipment execution.\nCollaborate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure shipment readiness and adherence to shipping schedules.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams including Project Management, Quality, Costing, and Finance to ensure smooth logistics operations.\nSupport team with pre-shipment and post-shipment documentation, vendor invoice verification, and audit requirements.\nUtilize ERP systems and logistics tools for shipment tracking and operational management.\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiencies in logistics operations.\nProvide operational support and guidance to junior logistics coordinators if required.\nDesired Traits\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.\n5+ years of experience in international logistics, freight operations, or supply chain coordination.\nStrong knowledge of India’s import/export regulations, customs procedures, and EXIM documentation.\nExperience handling air and ocean shipments\nFamiliarity with HS code classification, customs duties, valuation, export incentive schemes, country of origin requirements, and free trade agreements.\nExperience coordinating with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation vendors.\nAbility to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nExperience working with ERP systems and MS Office tools (especially Excel).\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.\nKnowledge of EXIM customs compliance will be an added advantage.\nPerks and Benefits\nProvident Fund\nMediclaim and GPA Insurance\nPaid leaves\nAnd much, much more!\nInterested in learning more?
