We underwrite, administer and handle claims on behalf of our carriers, so the quality of our insurance operation is our product.\nWhat You’ll Do\nYou run Fidamy's day-to-day MGA operations and report directly to the Chief Insurance Officer as their right hand. The framework and strategy are in place. Your job is to make sure everything runs properly every day, and to flag and fix what doesn't work in practice.\nThis is a doing role. You'll prepare the bordereau, reconcile the settlement, answer the carrier's question, check the conditions and improve the process yourself. You are the first point of contact for everything insurance.\nYour core responsibilities:\nCarrier operations\nHandle day-to-day contact with our carriers: answering questions, sharing information and following up on actions.\n\nPrepare bordereaux, management information and input for business reviews, accurately and on time.\n\nRun financial settlement with carriers, including premium and claims accounts, reconciliations and commission.\n\nMonitor that programmes run within carrier agreements, authority limits and underwriting guidelines, and escalate where they don't.\n\nSupport onboarding of new carriers and programmes, including due diligence requests.\nProgramme operations\n\nKeep our live programmes running smoothly, from policy administration to renewals.\n\nApply our underwriting guidelines in daily practice and handle referrals within your authority.\n\nWork with our data team on portfolio reporting at carrier, partner and product level, and flag trends you see in the daily business.\n\nProduct launches\nSupport product development with the insurance work: review conditions, IPIDs and POG documentation, and help get products through carrier approval and live.\n\nMake sure new products comply with POG, IDD and the Wft in practice.\n\nBuild and maintain operational playbooks so each new programme launches on a repeatable setup.\n\nSupporting claims and customer support\nSupport the claims and customer support teams with insurance expertise on complex cases, coverage questions and escalations.\n\nMonitor their performance and turn findings into concrete learnings and improvements.\n\nFind where claims and support processes lose time and fix them, using tech where it helps.\n\nFeed claims and complaints insights back into products and conditions.\n\nCompliance and control\nMake sure daily operations run within our volmacht agreements, the Wft and applicable EU rules.\n\nPrepare for and support carrier audits, and keep our operational controls (AO/IC) and procedures up to date.\n\nMonitor the day-to-day performance of TPAs and service providers.\n\nAcross the business\nBe the first point of contact for colleagues, TPAs and service providers on insurance questions.\n\nSupport tech and product teams with insurance knowledge, for example on data fields, claims flows or automation.\n\nSupport commercial deals with practical insurance input, making sure what's sold can be delivered.\n\nAbout You\nMust-haves:\n3-5 years' experience in non-life insurance, ideally at a Dutch MGA/volmacht, insurer or broker.\n\nHands-on experience with insurance operations: reporting, policy administration, settlements or carrier contact.\n\nA good understanding of claims handling.\n\nWorking knowledge of the Dutch and EU regulatory framework (Wft, IDD, POG).\n\nSomeone who likes doing the work: structured, precise and comfortable picking up whatever needs doing.\n\nFluent in Dutch and English\n\nBased in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam.\n\nNice-to-haves:\nExperience with carrier audits, such as the WRV (Werkprogramma Risicobeheersing).\n\nWft diplomas (Basis, Schadeverzekeringen Particulier).\n\nGerman at professional working level.\n\nExperience with embedded, digital or cross-border insurance programmes.\n\nComfort with data, tooling and automation.\n\nStartup or scale-up experience.\n\nWhat We Offer\nWorld-class team: Work with top experts in their fields\n\nHigh-impact role: Shape Fidamy’s operational backbone and grow into larger responsibilities\n\nInnovation: Help launch cutting-edge embedded insurance products\n\nCompetitive package: EUR 70k - 85k compensation package plus stock options\n\nModern Amsterdam office with flexible, hybrid work options\n\nRegular team events and social activities\n\nReady to Join Us?\nExcited about our mission, even if you don’t meet every requirement?
