We're looking for a sharp, hands-on Senior Platform Engineer to help drive our technology forward. If you want a high-impact, entrepreneurial role at a fast-growing startup, this is your moment.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild and own the reliability and scalability of our production systems, cloud infrastructure, and codebase, ensuring the platform securely manages sensitive financial and personal data.\n\nLead backup and disaster recovery across the platform: define clear recovery targets, rehearse and validate restores, and provide evidence of resilience.\n\nBe the first responder when platform incidents arise-whether they’re infrastructure issues, pipeline failures, or security events-and lead the follow-up to prevent recurrence.\n\nShare responsibility for our Infrastructure as Code: review and author changes, and keep our infrastructure safe to evolve.\n\nMaintain and enhance deployment tooling (TypeScript, with tests) for continuous, safe releases to production.\n\nConsistently strengthen the platform security baseline with ongoing improvements such as edge protection, audit logging, pipeline scanning, and secret rotation.\n\nOwn and develop our authorisation model, ensuring every operation passes robust, externalised permission checks for both people and AI agents.\n\nUse AI-driven development as standard: direct coding agents, specify and test requirements, and rigorously review results.\n\nInfluence the technical roadmap, participate in design reviews, and set a high standard for engineering quality across the team.\n\nTech Stack\nAI-driven development: Claude Code and coding agents as standard tooling\n\nWays of working: test-driven development, for the deployment tooling as much as for the applications; infrastructure changes reviewed and applied through the pipeline; shipped continuously\n\nCloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform\n\nData stores: PostgreSQL, S3, NoSQL\n\nApplication: React, Vite, Tailwind, Node.js (TypeScript), Python\n\nObservability: OpenTelemetry, with managed tracing and alerting on top\n\nData & AI: Databricks, AWS Bedrock\n\nOur Culture\nMove the Needle: Build systems that create tangible impact for partners and customers.\n\nMaster Your Craft: Prioritise deep work, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.\n\nCustomer Obsession: Work directly with partners to solve technical challenges.\n\nBe Different: Challenge industry norms while maintaining enterprise-grade reliability.\n\nThrive Together: Innovate quickly and execute thoughtfully in a collaborative setting.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nRobust, hands-on AWS expertise and fluency with Terraform, a non-negotiable requirement. You can review and improve existing cloud estates thoroughly.\n\nExperience running real-world restores in production and setting clear recovery targets. Reliability, SLOs, and incident response are central to your approach.\n\nExperience designing robust permission models and working with extrinsic (outside the app) authorization systems.\n\nProficiency in a modern programming language (TypeScript, Python, or Go) and willingness to work in TypeScript for deployment and authorization tooling.\n\nFamiliarity with AI-driven software development: comfortable orchestrating coding agents and using specifications/tests as their interface.\n\nProven record of owning outcomes end-to-end (not just completing tickets), with evidence to back it up.\n\nExcellent instincts for security within regulated environments dealing with money and personal data.
