This role will be responsible for helping lead collaboration and partnership with business unit partners, legal, risk, compliance, and other operational subject matter experts across the organization to minimize risk and optimize value to Fidelity. The purpose of your role is to become a trusted advisor to your business partners, counsel Fidelity leaders on contract and risk decisions, and fulfill business partner needs quickly, effectively, and in the best interest of the firm.\nThe Expertise and Skills You Bring\nBachelor’s degree; JD strongly preferred. 8-10 years of equivalent experience of advanced legal studies or purchasing, including complex contract negotiations \nProactive management and development of key business partner relationships \nAbility to work well under pressure \nSolid understanding of complex contracting models and the ability to negotiate and provide guidance across both standard and non-standard contracts \nAbility to influence business stakeholders and senior executives through fact-based decision support \nExperience working with leaders at all levels, from project managers to the C-Suite \nCreative, flexible, and able to handle ambiguity \nExhibits strong executive presence and confident working with all organizational levels \nStrong relationship management capabilities that will get you a seat at the leadership table of our key business stakeholders (ex. Legal, Risk, Compliance, Vendor Management Oversight) \nComfortable making decisions and taking smart risks \nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills \nProven track record of effective collaboration and teamwork \nStrong negotiation skills and knowledge of contract terms and conditions \nAbility to assess risk and translate business requirements to viable business solutions \nCommitment to drive quality and process improvements \nProvides business leaders with contract analysis and a point-of-view for decision support \nUnderstands business objectives of the applicable Fidelity business team and integrates those requirements into the appropriate contracting vehicle \nProviding the Procurement organization with recommendations, modifications, and process improvement opportunities \nLeverage experience and knowledge to provide thought leadership with business partners \nResponds to shifting priorities while maintaining progress of regularly scheduled work \nThe Team\nFidelity procurement helps Fidelity business partners make smart purchasing decisions that reduce risk and maximize value for the firm.
