You will generate proprietary fundamental analysis of the sector, the industry, the companies and the stocks you cover by meeting with top management of companies, industry experts and experienced colleagues. Research Associates create detailed financial projections for the companies and develop valuation analysis on the stocks to develop investment recommendations (versus sector, versus market) for their assigned stocks.\nHow Your Work Impacts the Organization\nYou will communicate your recommendations and insights on your stocks directly to all investment professionals on the team. You will make valuable contributions to our Equity Research department and mutual funds.\nWe offer a comprehensive training program as well as ongoing instruction, both of which emphasize the skills needed for fundamental investing.\nThe Skills & Experience You Bring\nWe are seeking candidates who have the following characteristics:\n1+ year of post-undergraduate experience in investment research (buy-side or sell-side), investment banking, private equity, or another related field\nWhile not required, Japanese or another Asian language proficiency is desirable\nDemonstrated consistent success in your work and academic experience\nExhibit strong analytical and communication skills, coupled with the highest level of personal and professional integrity\nAble to think creatively, work independently and be able to make decisions quickly, often with limited information\nDemonstrate the confidence and the maturity to engage with senior level management of companies\nIntellectually curious about companies and markets and have very high levels of initiative and motivation\nA high level of enthusiasm for discovering new investment opportunities and genuine intellectual curiosity are critical for success in this role\nThe ability to consistently develop, clearly articulate and effectively communicate investment recommendations supported by a comprehensive and thoughtful research process is critical to your success at Fidelity\nCompensation and Opportunity\nFidelity offers competitive compensation and benefits.
