There is need for a seasoned technologist leader who can lead / drive this space with dedicated energy, passion and inspiration. The person in the role will be expected to define appropriate test strategies including various aspects of automation testing for the respective programs/projects, co-own the test plan. The person is expected have strong understanding and experience of agile delivery and testing practices, to drive high levels of automation and efficiencies, drive adoption of toolsets in line with the organizational direction and connect to the wider delivery and testing community within the organization to share best practices. The person is expected to have a high degree of connect with the external environment to sense market trends on related technologies and practices and help bring innovation and provide thought leadership to the overall department and the wider organization. The key outcomes shall be (but not limited to) to create a culture of automation keeping DevOps principle of speed and quality in mind.\nCandidate would be expected to have exposure to Cloud concepts with respect to testing. The role shall ensure that other tech experts are well guided/mentored, and the work gets delivered as per tech strategy and guidelines. The role is also expected to lead portfolio level initiatives driving efficiency and thought leadership from QA perspective.\nAbout you\n2-4 years of hands-on experience in test automation using industry-standard tools such as Selenium or Playwright.\nGood understanding of automation framework architecture and experience contributing to existing automation frameworks.\nWorking knowledge of Core Java and object-oriented programming concepts.\nExperience in developing and maintaining API/service-layer automated tests using RestAssured or Karate.\nFamiliarity with development and testing tools such as Maven, JUnit, Jenkins, Git, and Checkstyle.\nExperience working with Oracle or other relational databases and writing SQL queries for test validation and analysis.\nKnowledge of source code management practices using Git/GitHub.\nExposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution within development workflows.\nExperience in executing unit, integration, functional, and regression testing activities.\nBasic understanding of cloud technologies, preferably AWS and Kubernetes (K8s).\nFamiliarity with modern software engineering practices, including Agile methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and the Test Pyramid.\nExposure to AI-enabled testing, development, or productivity tools.\nAbility to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.\nTechnical Skills\nCore Java: Working Knowledge\nJava / JavaScript: Working Knowledge\nSelenium: Hands-on Experience\nPlaywright: Hands-on Experience\nAPI Testing & Automation: Hands-on Experience\nSQL / Oracle Database: Hands-on Experience\nGit / GitHub: Working Knowledge\nMaven: Working Knowledge\nJenkins / CI-CD: Familiarity and Hands-on Experience\nAWS Cloud: Basic to Intermediate Knowledge\nKubernetes (K8s): Basic Understanding\nTest Automation Frameworks: Experience in maintaining and enhancing automation frameworks\nAgile Methodologies: Working Experience\nTDD & Test Pyramid: Good Understanding and practical application\nJavaScript: Working Knowledge\nSelenium/Test Automation on Cloud: Hands-on experience in implementing Selenium and related automation frameworks in cloud environments\nTest Pyramid Understanding & Implementation: Strong knowledge and practical application\nAPI Knowledge & Automation Framework Development: Skilled in designing and developing API-level automation frameworks\nFeel rewarded\nFor starters, we’ll offer you a comprehensive benefits package.
