You will collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to build the next generation of contact center technology, while also mentoring developers and contributing to engineering best practices and technical strategy.\nThe Expertise & Skills You Bring\n5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on full stack engineering.\nStrong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.\nProficiency in React (or modern JavaScript frameworks) for building responsive, component-based UIs.\nExperience with REST API design and development.\nDemonstrated experience designing and building distributed systems.\nWorking knowledge of event-driven architecture patterns.\nStrong understanding of software engineering fundamentals: design patterns, automated testing, observability, and CI/CD.\nStrong understanding of secure engineering practices (authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, secure service communication).\nProficiency with RDBMS or NoSQL databases.\nExperience with Agile/SAFe development methodologies.\nHands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex) in real engineering workflows.\nAbility to contribute to design discussions, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.\nStrong communications skills and ability to collaborate across teams.\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming platforms.\nWorking knowledge or experience in Workforce Management domain.\nFamiliarity with SIP, WebRTC, and CTI protocols.\nFamiliarity with test automation frameworks (Junit, Jest, Playwright, React Testing Library).\nKnowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design.\nPrevious experience mentoring junior engineers.\nExperience operating in a service ownership model (full lifecycle responsibility).\nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).\nThe Team\nThe Contact Center Platform Engineering team develops and maintains the platforms that power Fidelity’s contact center ecosystem, enabling seamless, high-quality interactions across millions of customer engagements.
