Develops testing and validation procedures to ensure system performance and stability.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nTranslates and incorporates business vision and strategy to architectural strategy recommendations at the functional level.\n\nParticipates in high-level, cross-functional architecture design teams.\n\nIdentifies and consults with internal and external technical resources to produce cross-company strategic designs.\n\nConsults on development and delivery of major technology initiatives for the business unit.\n\nConsults on deployment of major project deliverables.\n\nConsults on the documentation of major technology applications.\n\nOversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional or company architectural components.\n\nInitiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues.\n\nSets vision, goals, and direction of team/organization.\n\nPlans and leads organization-wide initiatives.\n\nProvides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization-wide projects.\n\nAdvises senior management on technical strategy.\n\nResearches and recommends new technologies.\n\nWorks across groups to identify opportunities for organization-wide technology initiatives.\n\nRegularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other team members for performance and career development.\n\nIdentifies and plans for future resource needs.\n\nDetermines technical approaches at a strategic level for the business unit.\n\nEducation and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience as a Vice President, Full Stack Engineering (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, building, and deploying highly secure and resilient software applications into public clouds (AWS or Azure) using cloud-native principles (12-factor) and DevOps practices.\nOr, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience as a Vice President, Full Stack Engineering (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, building, and deploying highly secure and resilient software applications into public clouds (AWS or Azure) using cloud-native principles (12-factor) and DevOps practices.\nSkills and Knowledge:\nCandidate must also possess:\nDemonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and implementing distributed applications according to 12- factor principles, using Kubernetes, Confluent, and Kafka; modernizing legacy applications according to DevSecOps and Strangler patterns and tools (API Gateway and Lambda); and creating data architecture, standards, and performing gap analysis using DB2, IBM MQ, and AWS.\n\nDE architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications to public cloud-environments and on premises, virtualized environments using Java; and analyzing, designing, and providing best-fit architecture for Software as a Service (SaaS) and client/server applications, using S3, EC2, and Kubernetes.\n\nDE performing DevSecOps engineering and writing automated tests according to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodologies (Jenkins, SonarQube, and Arti-factory) and version control tools (GitHub); deploying Cloud native applications using Maven, Unix Shell Scripting, Docker, and Kubernetes; and implementing Single Sign-On (SSO), OAuth, and OpenID Connect (OIDC) patterns (to provide authentication and authorization to applications and APIs).\n\nDE modernizing solutions and creating Cloud-based SaaS applications, microservices, and message oriented architectures for online, high-volume, transactional applications, using AWS infrastructure services; and creating re-usable frameworks (for the expansion of infrastructure and product capabilities when implementing software applications) using AWS, Spring Cloud, Kafka, Apache Tomcat, and Apache Spark.\n\nFidelity’s Onsite Working Model\nFidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues.
