Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Build and own core systems end-to-end; design, implement, deploy, and scale high-performance, concurrent, and fault-tolerant microservices.
• Work across the stack: backend, frontend, and cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) with full DevOps ownership.
• Translate product and risk-modeling requirements into robust, production-ready software.
• Ensure performance, observability, and reliability through strong engineering practices.
• Establish engineering standards and mentor future hires as we grow.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience building high-scale, low-latency distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
• Hands-on proficiency in Java or Go.
• Strong familiarity with microservices architecture, APIs, messaging, and async design.
• Experience deploying and maintaining services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Prior exposure to B2B tech or high-growth startup environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines and agentic systems will be a plus.
• Interest in financial markets is a must. Prior experience will be a plus.
• High agency: proactive, self-driven, and comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Desire to build first, lead next; hands-on now, growing into technical leadership.
