This role will oversee Bangladesh accounting and finance, support key US accounting activities, and partner closely with our US finance team on reporting and compliance.\nThe Country Accounting Manager will also lead and develop the Bangladesh accounting team while helping strengthen financial processes, controls, and collaboration across our global finance organization.\nThis position reports to the Controller and is located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.\nWhat you'll get to do:\nLocal Accounting:\nOversee payroll calculation, payment, and reporting for the Bangladesh team.\nLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for the Bangladesh entity, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.\nEnsure compliance with all Bangladesh statutory requirements.\nOversee tax filings in coordination with local tax advisors.\nMonitor changes in Bangladesh tax law and accounting regulations and assess the impact on company operations.\nUS Accounting Support:\nOversee local team members responsible for certain US accounting activities, which may include Accounts Payable, Bank reconciliation, expense reporting, etc.\nPrepare and review reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts for the US entity.\nCoordinate with the US headquarters finance team to support consolidated reporting and audit requirements.\nEnsure compliance with company accounting policies and US headquarters directives\nTreasury & Banking:\nManage daily cash operations and bank relationships in Bangladesh.\nEnsure compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations related to foreign remittances and inward/outward payments.\nTeam Leadership:\nSupervise and mentor a team of accountants and finance staff in the Bangladesh office.\nSet performance objectives, conduct regular reviews, and support professional development.\nSet performance objectives, conduct regular reviews, and support professional development.\nFoster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nYou might be a good fit if you have:\n7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.\nBusiness and/or Accounting degree.\nFamiliarity with Bangladesh tax regulations, including VAT, TDS, and corporate income tax.\nExperience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar).\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel.\nExcellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with US-based stakeholders.\nExperience working with a company headquartered in the US or similar markets.\nStrong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage competing deadlines\nStrong working knowledge of US GAAP; experience with dual-GAAP environments preferred.\nPrior experience working for a multinational company organization is preferred.\nChartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work:\n Working days: Hybrid, Monday to Friday (3 Work from Home + 2 mandatory Work from Office days)\n Working hours: 04:00 pm to 01:00 am\nOffice Location:\nUttara, Dhaka, Bangladesh (Hybrid)\nSalary Range:\nBDT 250,000 - 350,000 (Monthly)\nWhy we think you'll love it here:\nAt Field Nation, we believe great work deserves great support.
