About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Product Designer to join our Audit product team. Reporting to the Director, Product Design, you’ll own complex, ambiguous problem spaces end-to-end, partner deeply with Product and Engineering and help shape the design direction of a core Fieldguide product.
We move incredibly fast at Fieldguide and are looking for designers who can operate at that cadence. This team ships frequently, iterates in tight loops and makes progress amid ambiguity. The hire should be comfortable balancing speed with craft, incorporating AI into their daily design practice, and designing AI-assisted workflows directly into the product. This is a high-impact role for someone excited to own unclear problems, drive momentum and help modernize audit workflows that customers depend on every day.
What You’ll Do:
Lead end-to-end design for complex, ambiguous audit workflows, from problem definition through shipped solutions
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape strategy, influence roadmaps, and deliver high-quality, scalable implementations
Drive design execution with minimal direction, operating effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
Translate customer needs, research insights, and business goals into clear user journeys, interaction models, and polished UI
Balance speed and iteration with usability, consistency, and long-term product quality
Advocate for users while accounting for technical, regulatory, and business constraints
Own a significant product area or customer journey, anticipating downstream impacts across workflows and personas
Set a high bar for craft and influence by contributing to the design system, mentoring peers, and serving as a trusted design voice.
Who You Are:
6+ year of experience in a Product Design role, ideally focused on complex, B2B SaaS products
Previously thrived in fast-moving environments and can operate effectively at high velocity without sacrificing judgment or craft
Have owned complex, ambiguous problem spaces end-to-end with minimal direction
An ability to think in systems and anticipate downstream impacts across workflows, personas, and adjacent product areas
Experience working alongside or designing AI-assisted workflows (e.g., review, summarization, guidance)
Have incorporated AI into your daily design practice - from research and synthesis to prototyping and iteration
Excited to design AI-assisted workflows that meaningfully support auditors in their work
Proven ability for usability, polish, and consistency in shipped work
You’ve proven to elevate previous teams through mentorship, feedback, and thoughtful critique
