If these values describe you, we would love to have you join our team!\nStructural Engineer Duties & Responsibilities\nAnalyzes proposed site factors and design maps, graphs, tracings, and diagrams to illustrate findings.\nReads and reviews project blueprints and structural specifications to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements.\nInspects project site and evaluate contractor work to detect design malfunctions and ensure conformance to design specifications and applicable codes.\nPrepares complex Architecture and Engineering construction drawings for residential and commercial projects utilizing AutoCAD Architecture, REVIT, Sapphire Frame and/or Sapphire Build (Blackpoint).\nProduces Lot Specific and Master plans in accordance with Fieldstone and/or client-specific standards.\nDevelops and drafts engineering details and plans, assists management in preparing proposals and generates correspondence for clients and managers.\nPerforms fieldwork, documentation, research and drafting tasks of architectural and engineering data as requested by clients or managers.\nMaintains dynamic communication with contractors, clients, staff and the general public for any architectural, engineering or construction issues.\nConsistently applies Fieldstone’s Quality Control procedures and takes ownership of their work.\nManages the proper filing of project submittals, RFIs and other project records both electronic and paper.\nComplies with Fieldstone and client-specific standards (CAD, File Management, etc.).\nParticipates in occasional team meetings to help resolve project issues such as coordination, scheduling, and technical concerns.\nDocument time and expenses using Fieldstone’s business management system.\nFosters a culture of external and internal client service.\nEngineering Calculations & Design using Concrete, Masonry, Steel and Timber design.\nHigh-wind speed and Seismic design.\nResidential and commercial structures.\nAnalysis, reports & opinions.\nDevelopment of construction documents.\nStructural Engineer Required Skills\nKnowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.\nKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.\nKnowledge of residential and/or commercial construction techniques, construction documents, building codes and CAD concepts.\nAdvanced CAD/BIM drafting skills.
