While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAccurately maintains complex accounting records and performs all related accounting functions.\nOversees preparation of daily entries and monitoring of accounts. Maintains account balances.\nPrepares complex accounting journal entries and monthly financial statements where applicable.\nMaintains current accounting policies and practices.\nEnsures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.\nReconciliation and resolution of outages from complex accounts.\nResponsible for assisting in performing complex special accounting projects.\nContinuous Improvement:\nContinuously searches for process improvements within our organization in an effort to automate and simplify. \nLeverages technology to enhance efficiency and productivity.\nIdentifies opportunities to improve the accounting processes and plays a key role in the integration of a new accounting system.\nEnsures the completion and accuracy of all account reconciliations.\nResponsible for developing and maintaining appropriate business relationships with internal and external customers.\nDevelops cross training programs and ensures the adequate delegation of duties and responsibilities.\nMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:\nBachelor’s Degree irequired. \nMinimum of 4 years of industry or public accounting related experience. Banking or accounting related experience required. \nProficient in advanced spreadsheet applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.\nDemonstrate ability to learn and understand Bancorp systems such as Frontier, Mobius, Raft, Business Objects & TM1.\nExcellent communications, organization and follow up skills. \nExcellent people/relationship building skills. \nStrong analytical, verbal and written communication skills. \nAbility to apply critical thought process.\nCapable of prioritizing and organizing work to meet deadlines.\nAbility to communicate clearly & concisely with other Finance Staff, managers and department leaders.
